Good Morning Mix: Gareth Emery’s San Francisco Laserface performance is something you have to see to believe
“Lasers and trance have always been the perfect marriage but they’re often done a bit poorly at dance shows.”
The words are stamped across the website for Laserface, the limited new live concept put on by Gareth Emery. His answer to the problem of trance shows not receiving the visual accents they deserve is set to hit an exclusively small list of venues across North America this fall. Following the concept’s debut outing, the official movie from Emery‘s recent Laserface performance at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco is a galvanizing dose of high-octane trance, from the insane lightshow to nearly two-hours of upbeat dance chords.
Emery’s signature Laserface concept was designed to serve as more than just a routine tour stop. The two-hour-long performance weaves in and out of high energy trance selects, including a handful of highlights from Emery’s catalog, taking the listener on a winding sonic journey for an energetic start to the day.
