Good Morning Mix: Madeaux at Lightning in a Bottle 2018
Andrew Berman, better known as Madeaux, of A-Trak‘s Fool’s Gold Records, is the burgeoning house talent out of LA, known for weaving high-energy, dynamic, and splendidly strange live DJ sets. In the same vein, his own productions are soulful, sensuously vocalized, and shrouded in intrigue.
Fortunately for those with ears, Madeaux has uploaded to SoundCloud his latest stop on his list of summer festivals: his full set from Lightning in a Bottle in his native state of California. The 90-minute display features much to be discovered, including percolating house from the likes of Redlight, Wax Motif, Noizu, and Dustycloud. Madeaux’s mixing undoubtedly passes the ingenuity litmus test, as listeners can count on hearing fresh, nuanced material with every visit from their shadowy dance guru — this present endeavor notwithstanding.
