Canadian producer Robert Hughes, better known as Vincent, has swiftly made his style noticed from his numerous remixes for artists like The Chainsmokers and Alison Wonderland to his originals that pulse with huge chord sounds and genre-blending elements.

Now, he tackles yet another remix of RL Grime‘s: “I Wanna Know” featuring Daya, and gives it a bit of a different touch than some of his past music. He mentions that over time he has limited himself to making “music I’ve made before and feel comfortable making,” and in doing so has hurt his “confidence to push into new territories.”

With this remix he channels a darker style and lets his “frustration bleed into sound,” with eerie rumbling bass, intense cinematics and gritty drops. If this is what Vincent has in store for his new direction, we’re excited to see what happens next.
