Andrew Rayel diverges from Trance in new release ‘Last Summer’ with Garibay

When it comes to big room trance, Andrew Rayel is one of the first artists many would think of when it comes to the subgenre. The Moldovan DJ and producer has gone a completely new direction, however, with “Last Summer,” which sees him sharing the studio once more with Armin Van Buuren “I Need You” collaborator Garibay.

The opening chords immediately sweep the listener into summer with tropical accents and an airy melody. The song centers around pop vocals by Jake Torrey, lending the track the ultimate radio crossover appeal.

“Last Summer” ultimately leans tropical and commercial house, which is a divergence from Rayel’s previous Trance releases. Garibay has a long history in the pop music industry having worked with the likes of Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue, so the collaboration’s pop-leaning fabric have certainly been aided by Garibay’s proven style. The track is out now via Armada Music.
