Brasstracks team up with Thirdstory for ‘Too Far, Too Fast’
The Brooklyn-based duo Brasstracks, composed of Ivan Jackson (trumpet) and Ivan Rayne (drums), have conquered their effortlessly groovy style that combine styles all the way from jazz and R&B to electronic elements. Fans have anxiously been awaiting their next EP, For Those Who Know Part II, which will be fully released on Aug. 24, and will feature Robert Glasper, S’natra, Xavier Omär and Thirdstory.
To tide over fans, the guys have released their second single, “Too Far, Too Fast,” featuring Thirdstory. The brassy duo have teamed up with the NYC-based pop trio, known for touring with Chance The Rapper as the backing band for his 2017 Be Encouraged Tour. The track exemplifies all that Brasstracks has grown into with heavy R&B influence, from soulful piano and crispy percussion, to a topline that will catches the ear with every turn.
