Carmada and Georgi Kay captivate with ‘Lay It Down’
Australian bass duo Carmada took a multi-year hiatus, proving absence makes the heart grow fonder once they returned with hit collaboration “Embrace” alongside NGHTMRE and original release, “Ready For It.” The remixes for “Ready For It” are trickling in, including a dubstep rendition via MUST DIE!, but that isn’t stopping the duo from releasing more. They are out with their second single via Insomniac Records this year, this time in the form of catchy collaboration “Lay It Down” alongside famed electronic music collaborator Georgi Kay.
Electrifying synths build to a breaking point, giving way to future bass chords that explode, taking command of the track. Kay’s punching vocals give the chords direction as her angst ups the intensity of the track.
