David Guetta releases music video with a message for ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone,’ announces Jason Derulo & Nicki Minaj collab
David Guetta has released a futuristic music video for his single, “Don’t Leave Me Alone” featuring Anne-Marie. The narrative tells a tale of virtual love. Similar to something out of Black Mirror or Stephen Spielberg’s Ready Player One, Anne-Marie ventures into a virtual reality word and finds love. There’s an ending that creates a poetic contrast between the lyrics and video, concluding the story’s message about dating in the virtual world.
The French DJ has been on a roll, dropping a remix to Martin Garrix and Khalid‘s “Ocean,” the previously mentioned music video, and two invigorating collaboration announcements. One is with Black Coffee, “Drive,” and the other reportedly with Jason Derulo featuring Nicki Minaj and a special guest. Guetta and Minaj have had multiple successful collaborations such as “Hey Mama,” with Afrojack and Bebe Rexha, which reached more than 1 billion plays on YouTube, and “Where Them Girls At” with Flo Rida.
To add to the laundry list of Guetta-tasks, he also released a remix compilation of “Don’t Leave Me Alone,” which features reworks from the R3hab, Sidney Samson, and Tom Staar.
