Dua Lipa announces release date for Silk City collaboration
Dua Lipa‘s feature on the ’90s house homage “One Kiss” back in April with Calvin Harris was an apt brush with the danceable potential of the singer-songwriter’s vocal talent. Since the world was introduced to Silk City with “Only Can Getter Better,” back in May, a collaboration between Lipa and the Mark Ronson/Diplo duo seemed inevitable. Earlier this year, Lipa announced that it was coming, and now, she’s shared a few more details on the track, hinting on Twitter the track will arrive on September 6.

Lipa also revealed in a series of tweets, with the electricity emoji that possibly alludes to the track’s title, that the track will be arriving with a video.

Recently, Lipa spoke on the song with Rolling Stone, revealing, “It’s something different, but it does lead into some of new music that I’m going to bring in my albums. It’s got some throwback elements to it; it’s dancey; it’s still a pop song.” It still remains unknown as to whether the new track will be the lead single of Lipa’s next album.
