Jenaux drops funkified ‘My Friend’
While Jenaux began his career in the space where progressive house meets pop music, he’s found a new niche to call his own as time has gone by. Residing somewhere between funk, soul and disco, the New York City-based producer has made music with meaning, groove and infectious ease — his latest is no different. Entitled “My Friend,” the track is an homage to the support he’s gotten from those around him throughout his life: “I really don’t know where I’d be in life without my friends.”
Featuring vocals with a familiar nostalgia from the early days of disco and house music, “My Friend” has the building blocks for a wide ranging appeal. Even with some notes of glitch-hop as inspiration, Jenaux has a unique talent of being able to transform his inspirations into easily lovable pieces of music for all to enjoy.
