An original Canadian pressing of Prince‘s 1987 record The Black Album sold for a whopping $27,500 on Discogs, setting a new record for the priciest purchase completed on the dual music database and marketplace.
A promo copy of The Black Album previously sold in April 2016 for $15,000, then breaking the record for the most expensive sale on Discogs at the time.
The record setting sale preludes the impending arrival of Prince’s unreleased album, Piano & A Microphone 1983, due later this year.
