Scottish National Portrait Gallery to display portrait of Calvin Harris [See it]
Visitors of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery (SNPG) in Edinburgh will soon see Calvin Harris‘ image displayed among the museum’s collection of fine portraits. A portrait of Harris originally taken by English photographer Paul Stuart for GQ Italia in February 2015 is the latest likeness to join SNPG’s extensive collection. Stuart’s snapshot will appear in SNPG’s renowned National Galleries of Scotland.
“Calvin Harris has made a remarkable contribution to music both in Scotland and globally over the last decade and we are absolutely delighted to have him represented in Scotland’s national collection,” said SNPG’s Director of European and Scottish Art and Portraiture, Christopher Baker. “Few artists can equal the impact he has made on contemporary culture, and Paul Stuart’s portrait is a reflective, exceptional image which the many visitors to the SNPG will now be able to enjoy,” Baker added.
