Carl Cox names partners in Space Ibiza restoration
Space Ibiza‘s seminal resident Carl Cox seeks to reinstate the iconic White Isle venue, as the pioneer of the underground originally announced during an interview with Be-At TV in August. Cox now follows his previous disclosure with more details about his initiative to bring back the world-famous nightclub, including the entities who will collectively work with him to breathe life back into the former Balearic nightlife staple. Owner and founder of Space Ibiza, Pepe Rosello, veteran Ibiza promoter, Dave Browning, and former Space Ibiza general manager, Juan Arenas, comprise the expert staff that will join Cox in the venture.
“Space club Ibiza has always been my home for the last 20 years, and now to pave the new way for the future of Space is really exciting,” Cox said. “Forming a partnership with Pepe, Juan, and Dave Browning, to run the newly formed team, feels solid in the way that we are a family team, and I feel we can bring everything back to where it belongs.” Cox added that the team has “some exciting news for next year,” the specifics of which will Cox will share at a future date.
“Space is a way of living the music, which is part of our shared experiences in the most vibrant moments of our life,” Rosello said of the experiential basis for Space Ibiza. “The roots of Ibiza extend to new destinations with the joy, passion, and enthusiasm for this adventure, to return to our house, the island.” Re-envisioning Space Ibiza in a modern context will require an expert staff, and given Cox, Rosello, Browning, and Arenas’ intimate knowledge of all things Space Ibiza, there couldn’t be a more qualified team to spearhead Space’s revival.
