A mysterious new duo has arisen out of Italy and is quickly setting the bar high in the live dance sphere. 999999999 (pronounced “nine times nine”)made their entrance into the scene just shy of three years ago, earning accolades from connoisseurs and professionals alike for their refreshed take on improvisation and their raw, industrial sound. Though releases are obviously rare given their general methodology around musicmaking, the pair have allowed fans a small window into their guiding influences through a limited namesake series.

The second installment of this series, titled LOVE 4 RAVE, is their reinterpretation of classic sounds coming out of warehouses from dance music’s ‘golden age.’ They’ve kicked up classic acid tones and retro synth riffs with modernized sound design and unrelenting percussion, shocking the eardrums with a jolt of welcome electricity. When played out in the club, both tracks serve as sonic stimulants built to last.
