Diplo, Richie Hawtin, and more bring their sounds to budding producers with Sounds Originals
Aspiring producers hoping to create music sound like the producers who inspire them, look no further than Sounds.com‘s newest residency series Sounds Originals. The site launched in 2018 as a subscription-based platform for loops and samples created by Native Instruments. Through Sounds Originals, the site is partnering with industry veterans Diplo, Richie Hawtin, Junkie XL, Robot Koch, and Catnapp, giving subscribers access to their unique sonic identities through multiple downloadable sample packs. The Sounds Originals partners will also participate in a variety of user-centric activities. The launch of the series marks the next step in realizing the company’s vision of democratizing creative tools so anyone can freely express their musical ideas.
Diplo is the first artist to launch his Sounds Originals partnership, and the first of multiple Diplo packs, titled Diplo Drops are available October 12. The artist spoke about the partnership, saying “I’ve worked with many different artists, musicians, and talented people in my life and have learned that great music is born from great sound. I’m excited to hear what music makers will create with my original sounds. I hope to inspire them and give them some building blocks for making something new.”
Sounds.com subscribers now have exclusive access to a collection of Diplo’s one-shot samples, vocals, vocal stabs, and synth textures – all in a bass and dance style. Those looking to get involved can find more information on Sounds Originals here.
