KAYZO and xo sad serve up bass with a side of emo for ‘FAKE FAKE FAKE’

KAYZO seems to have the scene on lock-down since his rather recent, thunderous entrance. The perpetual bass-wielder put out his riot-inducing debut album less than a year ago; and yet, he still hasn’t missed a beat–endlessly toiling away in the studio, procuring tracks on a semi-regular basis.

KAYZO’s latest, “FAKE FAKE FAKE” is a fiery douse of dubstep tinged with more than a hint of sadness. The latter comes with help from a recent Becko alias, xo sad, fusing morose punk/screamo-infused vocals, grinding guitar chords, and pelting bass melodies. The track depicts a trouncing tale of heartbreak: “You’re the reason I still hate / Is this really what you wanted?”

An emotional KAYZO took to Twitter to designate the release a memorable milestone along his rather nascent sonic voyage: “I’m finding my sound and I couldn’t be happier. I love you guys. Thank you for following me on this journey.”
