Lil Wayne holds 16 tracks on Spotify’s Top 50 chart following ‘Tha Carter V’ release

Lil Wayne commands a sweet 16 tracks on Spotify’s Top 50 chart following the release of Tha Carter V, the first installment in the rapper’s Tha Carter series in seven years, and notably the final addition to Tha Carter legacy. Sixteen inclusions from the long-awaited album provide the introduction to the chart, with Kendrick Lamar collaboration “Mona Lisa” sitting pretty in the No. 1 spot, and the XXXTentacion-assisted “Don’t Cry” cozying up right behind “Mona Lisa” at No. 2. “Let It Fly,” “Uproar,” and several other Tha Carter V constituents follow suit before Lil Wayne’s dominancy gives way to Kanye West and Lil Pump‘s catchy drop-off, “I Love It.”

Tha Carter V brought a slew of blockbuster features to listeners’ headphones, with Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Ashanti, and more making cameos. “With this album… I’m giving you more than me,” Wayne said. “You gotta always remember that. This is four, five, six years of work that you’ll be listening to, and I hope you enjoy it. You don’t have to love it, you don’t even have to like it. Just hope you enjoy every time you put it on.” As Spotify’s Top 50 chart affirms, Tha Carter series now enjoys the vigorous finale that it rightfully deserves.
