Oliverse drops UK dubstep shiner, ‘Get High’
Oliverse has teamed up with Disciple Recordings on his latest release entitled “Get High.” The single sees the Hartlepool-based artist continue his rise as an artist to keep an eye on, bringing UK dubstep back into the conversation. Not to mention, the track was the producer’s second new record in a five-day span, making it a bonus of sorts to his fans.
“Get High” is an easily accessible track for all kinds of electronic music fans. Beginning in a fashion that immediately labels it as a bass record — a booming, immediate build partnered with a vocal sample — the track continues on with prominent, pitched-up synths and bass. But it’s after this standard start that things get interesting, as “Get High” descends into a grinding drop that calls to mind nostalgic sounds of dance music’s past: complextro, synth-driven electro and early aughts Skrillex.
Oliverse also posted the stems to the track to invite others to openly remix the track.
