Snails and Boogie T team up for a mellow sludge escapade, ‘Redline’
Snails and Boogie T have come together for a reggae-infused, dubstep slimer, “Redline,” that sounds how it was intended to sound, like a giant monster snail destroying an extraterrestrial city. Imagine, a pack of Godzillas are the yawning screams and the oscillating, higher-octave synths are the fighter-jets. The juxtaposition between the relaxing reggae-dub and the more aggressive dubstep synths, with a tad of sub bass padding underneath, creates a historical journey from the Jamaican sound system party scene to headbanger’s performing a personal two-step.
Snails started his own label this year, Slugz Music, where the below ooze was birthed. The Slug King released just in time for Halloween, adding Boogie T’s signature guitar licks amidst a slew of ghoulish harmonies.
