Stream Lido’s emotive R&B-inspired five-track EP ‘I O U 1’
Lido releases his I O U 1 EP off Emmanuel de Buretel’s Because Music label. The Norwegian singer/songwriter and producer takes listeners on an R&B-tinged journey of emotion made from innovative electronic brushstrokes. Refined soul weighs heavy in each of the five tracks on the project, combining complex rhythms and murky ambiance with well-rounded vocal variety.
Lido teased the EP with a cryptic Instagram post back in July. He then spaced out three single releases from the EP: “3 Million,” “Corner Love” featuring Unge Ferrari, and “Outstanding.” Beyond the project’s leading singles, “Partake” is a new drop that stands out among the list of must-listens, as a melancholy Lido slows heartbeats and laments over distraught emotions. The song takes a turn halfway through, touting a story of resilience by its conclusion. Lido’s latest comes after a handful of productions for Chance The Rapper earlier this summer, and he will be will be supporting ZHU at Red Rocks Amphitheater in October.
