CloZee releases purposeful video to accompany ‘Spiral’
French experimentalist, CloZee, recently released her worldly sophomore album, Evasion, which takes listeners on a sonic journey inspired by the artist’s extensive travel, interlaced with soul-baring reflection that comes to life through the intricate arrangement of sounds and songs. One of the most intricate and widely received tracks off the album is “Spiral,” which CloZee has released a captivating music video to accompany.
The music video follows the story lines of two women. Viewers watch as an athletic woman goes boxing, delivering hit after hit to a punching bag. Another woman then takes the spotlight as she does her makeup and heads out to go dancing at a club. The story lines intersect as the woman who was boxing ultimately washes off and heads to the club, where the two women meet and leave together. The story is testimony of dance music’s inexorable ability to bring people together–even in the most unlikely of circumstances.
