Deathpact release their first edit with a heavy flip of ODESZA’s cult-classic, ‘Loyal’
REZZ’s “Life And Death” collaborator and mystery beatsmith, Deathpact, continues their steady stream of releases with an official flip of ODESZA’s cult-classic “Loyal.” The enigmatic producer released their first edit after dropping two EPs in about a month’s time, Cipher One and Cipher Two. Leaving ODESZA’s signature drum line front-and-center, the haunting horns build into Deathpact’s antsy anticipation, then fall upon heavy bass-house foundation with cinematic glitches and rumbling sub bass. It’s an even more aggressive take on one of ODESZA’s more aggressive offerings, creating a nice contrast to the duo’s already versatile electronic catalog.
Deathpact has received support from the industry’s top tastemakers including Pete Tong and Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio 1, Spotify’s Dance Rising playlist, Apple Music’s Breaking Dance/EDM, and Billboard’s Ones To Watch. The fast-growing fanbase congregates on an unofficial Discord server dedicated to solving the question everyone is trying to answer, “who is Deathpact?” With consistently high quality products coming at such a rapid pace, it has become one of the most interesting dance music storylines of the year.
