Kanye West’s ‘Yandhi’ release delayed after Camp Flog Gnaw performance
Kanye West has announced his forthcoming album Yandhi needs more work. Following the inaugural performance of Kid Kudi and West as Kids See Ghosts at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival this past weekend in Los Angeles, the latter took to Twitter to explain that the performance gave him some new clarity on where the album is in its development.
This is the latest change for the project, of which a release date has become much more fluid as opposed to fixed, like a moving target, since its announcement in September, along with news that the rapper would travel to Africa to re-record pieces of the album.
It felt so good being on the stage last night with my brother Cudi. After performing again, I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding.
