Anderson .Paak vigorously spits bars on second single off ‘Oxnard’ album, ‘Who R U?’
The debut single from Anderson .Paak’s forthcoming third studio album, “Tints” offered a funky first taste of Oxnard sound. .Paak now expands that palette via the release of “Who R U?,” the second song to precede the production, which is slated to arrive on November 16. Comparatively more aggressive in its flow than the Kendrick Lamar-assisted, ’70s-inflected “Tints,” “Who R U?” sees .Paak vigorously spit bars, in a clear credit to the fluidity of his hip-hop artistry.
The stylistic differences across “Tints” and “Who R U?” suggests an overall diversity of construction to come on the Dr. Dre-produced Oxnard. The album’s feature list is somewhat of a sonic sampler of prominent rappers, ranging from J. Cole to Pusha-T to Snoop Dogg.
