Disco house veteran Manuel De La Mare has achieved a unique milestone with his latest release, “Skin.” Normally associated with his labels 303lovers and HotFingers, the labels he launched over a decade ago with Alex Kenji and Luigi Rocca, Italian producer and DJ has spread his talent to a new venture for this special appearance. A rare “debut,” “Skin” is out now on Armada Music’s underground-facing label, Armada Subjekt as his first release with the young label.
“Skin” takes us through an entrancing array of percussion loops before delivering an even more transfixing progression of synths. It’s a darker foray for an artist known for his upbeat, groovy productions, and a welcome maturation in style.
