Nero plots impending comeback, teases return with cryptic new video
UK veteran dance legends Nero seem to be preparing a comeback, and it’s coming sooner than anyone expected. The group splintered at the onset of 2018 with the launch of Dan Stephens’ and Alana Watson’s The Night duo, and while the couple’s side project has steadily dropped off new work this year, Joseph Ray has largely kept Nero quiet. Now, with the release of a cryptic video on social media, it seems the trio is back in action — teasing something on the way set for December 4.
The video is vague, but looking back at Nero’s history of releases, a four year gap separated the group’s debut album from their sophomore full length, Between II Worlds — one of Dancing Astronaut’s top albums of the year in 2015. That means 2019 could bring a new album from Nero, and the roll out could begin as this year winds to a close. Whatever the group has underway, it’s bound to be big. Stay tuned.
