Skrillex and Valentino Khan nab songwriting credits on new K-pop single, ‘Chemicals’

Key, from the K-pop group SHINee, has strayed away from the pack to show his versatility as a solo artist. The singer, actor, fashion designer, and television presenter from Daegu, South Korea recently released his debut solo album, FACE, through SM Entertainment, Korea’s largest entertainment company. Among the list of talented writers and producers, Skrillex and Valentino Khan make an appearance on the album through writers credits on the single, “Chemicals.”

With strong bass riffs, one can feel the impact Khan might have had on the track. The dissident vocal chops and gripping percussion elements, especially the snare, toss notes of Skrillex around. Skrillex has been collecting songwriting credits this year, with his name present on tracks from Mariah Carey, Elohim, Kelsey LuKingdom Hearts 3, and Lil Pump with XXXTENTACION.
