Tee Grizzley and Chance The Rapper link on ‘Wake Up’
Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley has released the newest single “Wake Up,” off his upcoming mixtape, Still My Moment. The track carries a powerful feature from Chance The Rapper and appropriately an equally powerful message.
The track begins with a spoken message over the pipe organ, “Want to hear all their preachin’, man look / It’s a difference between preaching and speaking from experience.” Tee Grizzley goes on to spread a message of hope. Through the balance of confidence and self-awareness, the rapper gives a relatable narrative of his experience finding success and being above not only each other’s ignorance but also his own. He encourages high school students to go try to make it to college, daydream, make a plan, and write it out. Chance The Rapper’s feature on this track is fitting as his persona and accolades match the message of the song — not to mention the draw his unmistakable flow will bring to Still My Moment.
Still My Moment will also feature rappers Offset, Quavo, Lil Pump and producers J Gramm, Helluva, Ant Beatz and more. The mixtape is set to be released November 9, according to Tee Grizzley’s Instagram.
