Tiësto and Dzeko’s ‘Jackie Chan’ goes platinum
Tiësto and Dzeko‘s collaboration with Post Malone and Preme, “Jackie Chan” proved itself to be a particularly pervasive summer anthem, as the star-studded hit single worked its way through playlists and radio airwaves. Although the glow of festival season and its accompanying warmer temperatures have long since faded, the sun-soaked personality of the feel-good number continues to shine through the winter months, as evidenced by the song’s newfound platinum certification status. As per certification standards, the “platinum” title indicates that “Jackie Chan” has been purchased or streamed 1 million times since its arrival in May.
“Jackie Chan” follows a number of previously released platinum productions from Tiësto, including 2014’s “Red Lights” and 2010’s “Feel It In My Bones.” The platinum certification of “Jackie Chan” is as much a credit to Tiësto’s ear for electronic tunes that will resonate — and have consistently resonated — with listeners as it is a watershed moment in Dzeko’s progressing career as a solo producer.
