Chance The Rapper drops two surprise singles, ‘The Man Who Has Everything’ and ‘My Own Thing’ featuring Joey Purp

Chance The Rapper surprised fans by dropping two new singles out of the blue, “The Man Who Has Everything” and “My Own Thing” featuring Joey Purp. On the solo shot, Chance presents a thankful angle on holiday spirit, expressing his desire to help others during the season of giving in his classic poetic prose. With Purp, listeners are taken back to the uplifting, bouncy, gospel-inspired sonics fans grew to love from the rapper with no big label backings.

Earlier this summer, Chance teased a possible successor to his 2016 Coloring Book LP and released four new tracks, three of which were produced by Lido, still, with no definitive, public answers on the rumored long play.  On “I Might Need Security” the Chicago native reveals he purchased the previously defunct Chicagoist.com, adding to a summer of wins for the independent artist that also includes getting engaged to his longtime significant other Kirsten Corley, headlining the Special Olympics 50th anniversary, debuting his acting career on A24’s Slice and donating $1 million to Chicago mental health services. News recently broke that Chano will be a judge alongside Cardi B and T.I. on Netflix‘s new hip-hop reality competition Rhythm & Flow. It’s clear how the “Man Who Has Everything,” is clearly in the giving spirit as his hugely successful year draws to a close.
