NERO emerge from hiatus to sing listeners a foreboding ‘Lullaby’ by way of new ‘Ninjawerks’ album

World class gamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, continues to flaunt the breadth of his influence on the electronic music community by summoning none other than NERO from the depths of their hiatus cavern.

Partnering with Astralwerks, Ninja has resolved to further fuse the attachments story-like, cinematic electronic music shares with gaming, arriving in the form of a compilation album, Ninjawerks Volume 1. Following tracks from Tycho, 3LAU, and Alesso, NERO has now signed on with “Lullaby.” The unforeseen offering comes after the trio divulged into their ardent need for a break from the weighty, blackened tone of NERO productions, with two-thirds of the group (Alana Watson and Dan Stephens) precipitously releasing music under a new, lighter moniker, the ironically named, The Night.

“Lullaby” showcases Watson’s raw, salient vocals over the trio’s characteristic abundance of wobble bass and larger-than-life experimental production. The song would fit as an exemplary intro or segue to a low-lit, foreboding video game landscape–as was the likely intention.
