NGHTMRE ups the ante on The Chainsmokers collaboration, ‘Save Yourself’ with new VIP edit
NGHTMRE has taken his Chainsmokers collaboration “Save Yourself” in a darker direction with his new VIP edit of the track. The original collaboration was an unexpected addition to The Chainsmokers Sick Boy album, which fused melodic elements with hard dance floor-ready drops that fans would previously have only expected to hear in a club set from the pop electronic crossover group.
Now NGHTMRE is putting his own additional touches on “Save Yourself,” notching up the track from a hard hitter to a rollercoaster of dubstep arrangements broken up by massive, swelling breaks. In addition to adding layers of bass and his own heavy handed spin on the song, NGHTMRE warps Drew Taggart’s vocals into only a figment of what they once were, using them to accent the heavier elements of the remix.
