Ryan Browne takes no prisoners in ‘EPITAPH’

Not many producers can combine dubstep and horns and make it look easy. Ryan Browne, however, does so seamlessly.

The Icon Collective instructor conducts a contrasting symphony in his latest, “EPITAPH.” The introduction to the song is brilliantly deceptive, leading the listener to believe that perhaps it won’t be mind-meltingly intense as his previous metal- and bass-heavy releases.

But this is not the case.

A spirited piano melody leads a section of horns to follow suit as “EPITAPH” quickly gathers momentum and careens into an abyss of bass and wubs. He dives deep with this headbanger-friendly release, taking no prisoners on the way down. This track shows Browne’s production capabilities in their fullest range — from graceful piano melodies to the darkest depths of dubstep.

“EPITAPH” is out now via Black Tiger Sex Machine‘s Kannibalen Records.
