Skrillex is up to something with cryptic website relaunch
Just when it seemed like the Skrillex anticipation had reached an all time high, he dropped off his long-awaited and much-hyped “SICKO MODE” remix to quell fans’ voracious appetites. Now, the LA-based super producer’s website has essentially gone dark, and the internet is abuzz all over again, salivating at the OWSLA head honcho’s impending next movement.
On December 4, Skrillex’s website relaunched with nothing more than a purple skin and his ubiquitous three-strike logo. The site’s URL calls for a password, and while internet sleuths are hard at work trying to crack the code, there’s undoubtedly some deserved hype behind the website’s abrupt overhaul. What the supposed password unlocks, or where fans can search for it remains unclear. Skrillex’s web domain has previously teased a relaunch — and while this might just be a revamping of the artist’s online hub, something about the recently scrubbed site suggests something bigger is on the way.
Skrillex’s team did not return a comment at the time of publishing. For now, all eyes are on the “Agen Wida” producer, and hopefully another well-timed Skrillex delivery is underway.
