In a strategic act of entertainment synergy, gamer extraordinaire, Ninja (real name, Tyler Blevins), has pulled back the entirety of the curtain on the heatedly anticipated Ninjawerks Vol. 1.

Partnering with EDM hotbed, Astralwerks—which has housed releases for Porter Robinson, Tommie Sunshine, and The Chemical Brothers (to simply name a few)—Ninja is narrowing the gap between the complementary realms of gaming and electronic music, similar to Skrillex‘s writing for the third installment of Disney and Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts.

The full Ninjawerks project spans a great deal of the electronic color wheel with cinematic grit. From Tiësto to Tycho, from Kaskade to GTA, the album is equipped to equally satiate niche and widespread listeners with gaming in their veins.

Fittingly, the album’s contributors are gamers themselves. The artists recently divulged to Billboard Dance over the profundity of this collision of two rather adjacent worlds. While Dillon Francis said he devised his offering, “LFGD,” with Chris Melberger, in reverence of a Fortnite win, Tycho emphasized his intent to recreate the sublime feeling of discovering a new world inside a game with his track, “Jetty.”
