Tom Flynn & Amp Fiddler provide refreshing new deep house to DIRTYBIRD – with a Claude VonStroke Remix
Is DIRTYBIRD turning a new corner in its sound? Based off its most recent release from venerable talents Tom Flynn and Amp Fiddler, it appears as though the iconic label might be looking to branch out from its signature, “booty bounce tech” sound that it’s known for. The collaborators have breathed fresh air into the label with a class deep house cut titled, “The Future” — perhaps another allusion to the changes ahead. From the get-go, we’re immediately put into a loungey mental space with a soothing bass-line and floating piano chords, which end up accenting Amp Fiddler’s vocals perfectly. “The Future” is a slow burner that’s built for endurance, and it certainly does well in captivating the listener from start to finish. We’d like to bestow a “kudos” upon DIRTYBIRD, for bringing Tom Flynn back in a manner that’s as triumphant for the artist as it is for the label.
Naturally, Claude VonStroke couldn’t get “The Future” out of his head either. He ended up feeling inspired enough to remix the single, which also is quite the evolution from his sound. His edit is quite reminiscent of Ibiza nights or European open-air events, with its refined tech house grooves working crowds into a frenzy. Ultimately, the EP is a stunner for all parties involved.
