Major Lazer recently took to Twitter to tease their fourth studio album, Music Is the Weapon, reportedly their final project to culminate the group’s 10-year run.
The trio’s frontman, Diplo, suggested in an interview with Complex that 2019 will be Major Lazer’s final ride as he focuses on side projects—the Mark Ronson-assisted Silk City and Labrinth and Sia‘s crooning collaborative, LSD. The Mad Decent label boss also mentioned wanting to work with a whole new generation of rappers, widening the likelihood for Major Lazer’s dissolution.
Earlier this year, Major Lazer also teased a collaboration with Latin superstar, J Balvin, keeping listeners even higher on their toes for more upcoming singles off their new LP. Music Is the Weapon will proceed Peace Is The Mission, which dropped in 2015.
