David Guetta and Nicky Romero push the boundaries of big room with new track ‘Ring The Alarm’
David Guetta and Nicky Romero never disappoint when they come together for an original release. Their newest joint track, “Ring the Alarm,” is no exception, taking both hit makers back to their big room sound and away from the commercial crossover releases they have both been frequently associated with as of late.
“Ring The Alarm” delivers vocal elements of reggaetón paired with tribal instrumentals and a deep, driving bassline. The energetic release shows both producers’ ability to refashion big room house for the modern age. The track is certainly not the first time the duo have teamed up, and it will doubtfully be the last. Guetta and Romero go way back, and fans might even recall the pair’s Ibiza co-residency back in 2012. Eventually White Isle hangs would lead the producers to team up for collaborations, “Wild One Two” and “Metropolis.” Now the pair’s latest, “Ring The Alarm” comes hot off the heels of Guetta’s recent foray into country-inspired sounds with Brooks on “Better When You’re Gone.”
The song is out now via Romero’s own Protocol Recordings.
