First Listen: Cedric Gervais, Just Kiddin, & Kyan join for ‘Good Things’
Cedric Gervais, Just Kiddin, and Kyan decided to join creative heads, and the result is a sunny record made for the imminent spring season. Spry and bouncy, “Good Things” features future house synth progressions that bound along throbbing basslines and fields of hi-hats. It’s clear that this is a tune designed to be shuffled to. Tying it all together is Kyan’s cheery voice, which takes on a disco-inspired tone that sounds like it could have ruled discotechs and roller rinks in the 80s. The nostalgia factor will certainly add to “Good Things'” appeal when it is disseminated across dancefloors worldwide.
The three collaborators involved in this have been quite busy as of late. Just Kiddin tapped Effie for an infectious, housey re-work of “There For You” in February, while Cedric Gervais has been a juggernaut on the tour circuit with a packed schedule and wide array of IDs to roadtest.
