JAY-Z will open newly renovated Webster Hall with ‘B-Sides’ show

After two years, the historic New York City venue Webster Hall will finally reopen its doors with its first show since its closing in August 2017.

The act atop the debut parallels the lofty stature of the event, with the venue enlisting none other than JAY-Z for the reopening. The iconic rapper and mogul will be bringing his B-Sides 2 performance to Webster on Friday, April 26. Dubbed Tidal X: Jay Z B-Sides, the first ever B-Sides gig featured rare tracks and other never-before-performed material, also taking place in New York at Terminal 5 and streaming through TIDAL. It would certainly please fans for the heatedly anticipated follow-up performance to receive the same TIDAL treatment, though the streaming capabilities surrounding the show have yet to be confirmed.

Webster Hall has already announced a diverse set of events for its reemergence. Dillon Francis will be the first DJ act to play Webster since Skrillex and Boys Noize closed it out two years ago. Francis will play the night after JAY-Z on Saturday, April 27. Other artists on the event roster include MGMT, Empire of the Sun, FKJ, Chromeo and a long length of others.

Tickets for Webster Hall’s opening night go on sale to the general public Friday, April 19 at 11:00 am EDT. AMEX presale begins Thursday, April 18 at 10:00 am EDT. The sale can be accessed here on Ticketmaster.
