Watch Tame Impala and A$AP Rocky perform ‘Sundress’ and ‘L$D’ live at Coachella
At Coachella, Tame Impala and his band were playing through, “Why Don’t You Make Up Your Mind?” when a surprise guest interrupted. Out emerged A$AP Rocky wanting to play his version “Sundress,” which fittingly samples the aforementioned Tame Impala track. After a memorable duet, Rocky opted to try something a little more psychedelic, so he turned towards his glistening “L$D” track from theAT.LONG.LAST.A$AP album. It was a special two-song performance from the rapper who embedded himself effortlessly into the pop/psych-rock band.
The lysergic Australian music project led by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker recently released “Patience” and “Borderline,” after a lengthy hiatus. The former of these, aptly titled as could be, was Parker’s first release since 2015, and succeeds in laying the tone for what’s to come next from the forthcoming Tame Impala LP.
