DJ Khaled partners with TIDAL on exclusive ‘Father of Asahd: The Album Experience’ documentary
Ahead of his forthcoming album release on May 17, DJ Khaled has announced his partnership with TIDAL for a series of exclusive media that focuses on the creative journey behind Father of Asahd itself.
The partnership includes Father of Asahd: The Album Experience, a documentary showcasing the making of the album. The film will be available to stream exclusively on TIDAL, paired with two launch events in New York City. Khaled will host a special album release celebration on May 17 followed by the documentary screening and a conversation with TIDAL’s Director of Culture & Content, Elliot Wilson, for a live-streamed CRWN interview on May 21. Due to overwhelming demand, the Father of Asahd: The Album Experience screening has been confirmed to move to a larger venue, Apollo theater in NYC. TIDAL members can sign up for a chance to attend both events here. Members will also be able to view the documentary and live CRWN interview as part of their subscriptions.
The long-awaited Father of Asahd album marks Khaled’s 11th studio album and presumably his biggest record yet. The mogul has expressed his belief that the release is his most impressive to date, featuring industry heavyweights like J Balvin, Cardi B, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Post Malone, 2 Chainz, Bryson Tiller, and more. TIDAL has collaborated previously with Khaled on TIDAL X Brooklyn and 2016’s Made in America Festival, continuing to prove their dedication to connecting fans with artists through various events, giveaways, and activations offered exclusively to members.
