Watch this DJ perform on top of a 300-foot wind turbine

Alex Parker has pulled off a feat never done before, all in the name of sustainability. The DJ played on top of a 300-foot wind turbine located in Europe’s largest land-based wind park—CEZ Group’s Fântânele-Cogealac-Garden Wind Farm in Constanta, Romania. Parker performed from atop the turbine for five hours.

Parker’s stunt strives to raise awareness for Neversea Festival‘s goal to become the first music festival powered almost entirely by green energy from a wind source by 2020. The festival hopes to achieve this with the support of CEZ Group. For this year’s festival, CEZ will control the first-ever 100% green area of the festival, fully fueled with renewable energy and selective waste collection.

Parker has previously performed main stage at Romania’s Neversea Festival in 2018. “I am very happy to be part of a movement to promote unconventional energy, our planet is at a critical point and we need as many open-minded people as possible to support such an initiative. The sensation was unique, I could see the sunset as I did what I loved the most, it was simply incredible and hard to open in words”, said Parker.

Neversea Festival takes place July 4-7 in Constanta, Romania. Buy tickets and see the full line-up here.
