Valentino Khan lends bass house fervor to debut single from forthcoming EP, ‘Pony’
Valentino Khan is never one to shy away from a sonic spectacle, which listeners can certainly observe on his new track through Mad Decent, “Pony.”
The anthemic house offering is the debut single from the LA artist’s newly announced EP. Khan enlists the sounds of actual galloping horse hooves, which he infuses into the production backdrop lending the track its name. The song is almost certain to become a main-stage fixture heading into the summer festival season with its timely and undeniably invigorating design.
While Khan’s creative edge ostensibly revolves around dance-inducing drops, he has found a way to mold his infectiously outlandish insignia to a length of styles, including trap and, in this case, driving house, in order to keep his spirited tracks fresh. Khan’s forthcoming EP joins his recent streak of releasing music via Diplo’s Mad Decent, including a recent collaboration with Kayzo, “Novocaine.”
