We Are FSTVL endures organizational error that lead to widespread stampeding and fatigue
England’s We Are FSTVL endured a costly organizational flummox that left guests stampeding past staffers in line and sustaining heat exhaustion. The Upminster event allegedly ran out of wristbands, according to reports, and the resulting delay mixed with hot weather led to pandemonium among the crowd. Many ended up choosing to leave the area all together rather than queue for what turned out to be well over three hours in sweltering temperatures, while witnesses who remained reported that others were left vomiting and dehydrated.
An official apology statement from the festival advised that just five people had sustained minor injuries, and the event was able to continue without further issues on Sunday, May 26. The festival was in its seventh year, making this occurrence particularly surprising. Some of the headliners for the 2019 edition included Chase & Status, Maceo Plex, Green Velvet, Jamie Jones, The Black Madonna, and more.
