Diplo takes a deep dive into Carnage’s ‘Letting People Go’

In his latest act of EDM omnipresence, Diplo has taken Carnage‘s “Letting People Go” for a coasting four-on-the-floor cruise.

Diplo introduces some slapping percussion and a more deliberate bass beat alongside the original euphoria of Prinze George’s vocal cut and the meandering lead guitar synth. The remix, while certainly dancier than its predecessor, remains aligned with the subtle poignancy, and nostalgic center of the initial Carnage offering.

Carnage concocted the original track in honor of his grandmother, a Nicaraguan immigrant who faced a length of adversity before reaching US soil. Intuitively, the Guatemalan-American DJ is donating a part of the proceeds from the track and its subsequent remixes (Diplo’s included) to the RAICES (Refugee And Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) Foundation, a nonprofit which assists Texas-based immigrant families with legal counsel for little-to-no cost, an organization of which Carnage is an ambassador.
