Envision expands to weeklong format for 10th anniversary

Uvita, Costa Rica’s Envision festival will return to its jungle-bound Rancho La Merced for its 10th year running in 2020. As a result of its ardent growth, the equal parts earnestly environmental and musically multifarious festival will expand to a seven-day format next year, February 17-24.

The lush destination festival’s Co-founder/Creative Director Josh Wendel says organizers want to give attendees more time to acquaint themselves with the plentiful workshops, installments, and spanning catalog of curated activities they believe are difficult to compress into its former four-day format.

“There is so much happening during the 4 day festival, that most people only attend a few workshops over the whole weekend,” says Wendel via a recent press release. “This allows attendees to dive a bit deeper with our world class leaders, have more time for adventures and not have to deal with the challenge of traveling around Costa Rica days before or after.”

While the 2020 Envision lineup has yet to come to light, last year’s installment saw scope-spanning performances from the likes of Tycho, The Floozies, Lee Burridge, GRiZ, CloZee, and a lengthy litany of local talent.

Tickets for Envision’s loyalty sale on behalf of returning attendees began June 11. General on-sale begins June 13, at 1pm EST, here.
