Rewind time with Porter Robinson’s sentimental ‘Worlds’ set at Second Sky [WATCH]
It’s safe to say that Porter Robinson‘s first go at a festival, Second Sky, was a glowing success. The two-day event touched down in Oakland on June 15 and boasted a star-studded lineup including his Shelter collaborator Madeon, Cashmere Cat, and even a surprise showing from Skrillex. Robinson also took opening slots on both days of the event under his Virtual Self moniker to encourage early entry and music discovery.
One of the biggest treats for those in attendance, however, was the revival of Porter’s Worlds live set. The set was more expressive and ethereal than ever, with the musician immersing himself fully into the vibrant performance. Worlds sets aren’t common these days on the performance circuit, since Robinson’s been taking the better part of the last couple years promoting his iconic new Virtual Self project.
Those who missed both the event and its live stream are in luck; the set has since been uploaded to multiple platforms for listening pleasure, and the Twitch stream is now available on YouTube. Those lucky enough to be present can also relive this singular experience that took place that fateful evening in Oakland.
