Rihanna confirmed as the world’s richest female musician
All hail Rihanna.
The multi-talented pop sensation is now officially the richest female musician on Planet Earth. Forbes recently released a profile of her which cited her fortune at $600 million. This puts her $30 million above Madonna ($570 million) who is number two on the list followed by Céline Dion ($450 million) and Beyoncé (400 million).
Beyond Rihanna’s (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) impressive career as a musician, these sizable riches come from various other sources as well. Her make-up line, Fenty Beauty, is reportedly worth $3 billion. She also lent her birth name to a luxury clothing brand released under France’s illustrious Moet Hennessy-Louis Vuitton label. Rihanna has also taken to acting on a much larger scale of late, playing a lead role in Oceans 8 last year.
On social media, Rihanna is one of the most popular users in the world. Across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram she flaunts a combined total of over 250 million followers. She has used this worldwide fame along with her massive fortune to start her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), in 2012. Between 2016 and 2018 CLF received over $2.3 billion in donations, a portion of which came from limited edition sales of Fenty apparel.
On the music front, Rihanna recently confirmed the release of her next LP, and that it will be a reggae project. There are many rumours surrounding who will be involved on the album including Diplo, Skrillex, and Calvin Harris, and the album is currently without a name. “R9”, as her fans have referred to it, will be Rihanna’s ninth album. Her first since 2016’s ANTI.
