Man drives car into crowd at Canadian music festival, hospitalizing four

A man has been arrested after plowing an off-road vehicle into the crowd at Curiosity Music Festival in Canada and causing four hospitalizations. Representatives from Curiosity advised it was an “isolated incident.” Seven in total were injured.

The collision occurred at about 2:30am on June 30, with the suspect in question having stolen a medical vehicle from staff and driving toward the main stage at high speeds. It only took seconds to apprehend him, according to the Curiosity statement, and he’s now being charged with various robbery and assault-related items. The four hospitalized from the violent episode incurred “serious, but non-life threatening” injuries and are expected to make a full recovery—as are the other three also affected, according to the CBC.

As of writing time, the intention behind the attack is unknown.
