DGTL to continue expansion, with first Asian edition heading to India in 2020

DGTL, one of the world’s premier music and arts festivals will be taking its trendsetting lineup and eco-friendly concepts to Asia in January 2020. The festival, which has already proven an international sensation with success in locations like Tel Aviv, São Paulo, Barcelona, and Amsterdam, will be touching down at the LaLit Ashok in Bengaluru, India January 11-12 of next year.

In terms of talent, DGTL pushes the envelope time after time, not only giving fans a healthy variety of top-tier house and techno, but also honing their focus in on local, homegrown talent and live electronic sets. While no acts for the Bengaluru event have yet been announced, a glance at other editions’ talent will show just how deep DGTL rolls. The lineup for the upcoming three-day festival in Barcelona Aug 23-25, for example, highlights Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills, Tale of Us and Todd Terje, to name a few.

While acclaimed acts in dreamy locations mostly sells itself, DGTL’s ambition and vision doesn’t stop there. This year, the festival was adorned with the International Greener Festival Award for its extensive list of sustainable initiatives woven into the event, innovating and experimenting with methods to lessen the global footprint left by festivals and their attendees. DGTL Bengaluru, however, will be kicking off 2020, the year that the festival aims to be the first fully circular and climate-neutral festival in the world. An improbably tall order, though if any festival has the necessary tools to accomplish such a feat, it’s DGTL.

Tickets are not yet available, but you can sign up for more info and updates about DGTL Bengaluru here.
